CHALLENGE

Basalt has the advantages of high compressive strength, low crushing value, strong corrosion resistance, good adhesion, etc. It has been recognized as the best material in the construction of highway, railway and airport runway in the world. Not only that, basalt is also widely used in lightweight concrete for high buildings because it is porous but hard.

The quarry owner has requirements for quality aggregates and sand, as below stated:

(1) The quality of the final aggregates and sand should be hard, clean and well graded.

(2) Stable fineness modulus, and be controlled between 2.4 to 2.8

(3) Final sand dust content be controlled between 10% and 15%.

(4) The moisture content of final aggregates and sand be controlled in the range of 6% to 7%.

SOLUTION

After analyzing the raw materials and final requirements, KINGLINK adopted the solution as: Primary crushing Hydraulic Jaw Crusher KPE1000x1200, Secondary crushing Cone Crusher Standard KLC1380, and Third Crushing Cone Crusher Fine KLF1300, then less than 10mm products to Fine crushing Hydraulic Roller Crusher KL-2PGS1800 and Vertical Impact Crusher (VSI) KL-12. The closed circuit has adjustable particle size and the gradation could be made according to demands which is the typical artificial aggregates production.

As the period of installation and commissioning, customer gave us high acceptance to our services, and as well we will strive to provide better and more efficient service which will help customers achieving the expected benefits.

(4) The screening efficiency was very high. We keep the fine crushing and second screening in close circuit by erecting rain canopy. In this way, we could keep out the water and also keep the dry sand powder inside. The cost is much lower than water cost and water recycling facilities.
